Collection: Lyre Harp

The Lyre Harp dates back to 1400 BC in ancient Greece.

It is a stringed musical instrument having a yoke, or two arms and a crossbar, projecting out from and level with the body. The strings run from a tailpiece on the bottom or front of the instrument to the crossbar.

The lyre seems to have been an evolution from the even more ancient harp, and was created to make it portable on the go.

Our Byla lyre harps are made from mahogany wood.
