Lavender: Known as True Lavender, Lavandula Angustifolia, this floral sweet herbaceous aroma with slight balsamic woody undertone oil is one of the most common essential oils used in various application ranging from massages to vaporising to help in anxiety and alternatives in sleep remedies. A study has shown that Hinoki can be used as a natural fly repellent which provides a 5 hours, 100% repellency against fruit fly. Hinoki also exhibits high anti-mold and anti-bacterial properties, which makes it an ideal choice for the Japanese to use Hinoki in their furniture and building construction materials since ancient times. A Journal published by Japan Wood Research Society shows that touching Hinoki wood calms prefrontal cortex activity and increases parasympathetic nervous activity, hence inducing physiological relaxation. This may possibility be co-related to the anxiety relief properties found through inhalation of the Hinoki essential oils. Hinoki is also found used in hair growth products as it actively removes DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is the primary cause of hair loss.

HOW TO USE

  • Unscrew the black lid and remove the rubber sealer from the glass vase.
  • Flip the reeds and expose the saturated ends to the environment for scent diffusion.
  • Flip the reed sticks every 1 - 2 weeks to refresh the scent.
  • Insert 3 to 5 unused reed sticks into the diffuser and allow 20 to 30 minutes for the initial absorption of the home scent. Add more reeds if you want to increase the scent intensity.

CAUTION

  • Do not ingest.
  • Keep away from high heat or open flame.
  • Always place the diffuser in safe areas away from children, pets, or places where it may be knocked over.
  • Handle with care to prevent spillage onto painted or plastic surfaces. If that occurs, wipe away immediately.
  • Place a coaster or plate under your diffuser to prevent oil drips from damaging furniture.

Hot dry weather, air-conditioning, drafts, seasonal changes, and the number of reeds used are factors that affect the diffusion strength and rate. Keep out of strong sunlight or direct air-conditioning drafts to reduce rapid evaporation. For optimal performance, fibre reeds should be replaced every 2-3 months. Rattan reeds should be replaced every 2-4 months.
